Cancun 2010 (in a nutshell)

So the long awaited Cancun trip (Roofer's Supply Incentive Trip) which was cancelled last April, was rescheduled for January 9 - 13 of this year. So ----- Saturday morning (early) we left and arrived in Cancun, which happened to also be experiencing their own "out of the ordinary cold spell". We arrived in a down pour and quickly realized we hadn't planned appropriately for cool, wet weather! We stayed at the Cancun Palace and, LUCKY for us, each room came with a double jetted hot tub (which got plenty of use) -
With the almost record weather it was not unusal to see that what people were out were wrapped up in towels or coats, like these guys -
Here are some pictures of the pool area - nobody but the birds are hanging out Nope, nobody -
Not one single soul (this is about 2:00 P.M.)
Doesn't it look lonely???
So when it's too cold to lay by the pool sipping soda's and reading your book or napping, what do you do? You head for the malls of course - to go shopping. There were still plenty of Christmas decorations up and festive music was playing --- Steven - this is JUST for you. We were browsing in a watch store and I found this. I did a double take and wished I had a couple of hundred dollars to spend on your birthday because, even though you don't ride or even "want" a race bike again, I'm sure you'd be happy to sport one of these babies on your wrist, you know to remind you of your "first????"
Cool hu? Google it!
We did have one good weather day, thankfully the day we spent in Xcaret was decent and we did have a good time.

Then, almost as soon as it started - it was all over and we found ourselves back home here, in Utah, and we're still cold!

BULTACO!!! Fond memories...thanks sister. Actually last year there was a huge 50 year Bultaco celebraition of sorts. Remember that my first trials bikes were also Bultacos. Glad to hear that you had fun even if it was cold...

What a fun trip! Sorry it was so cold, though! Knew Steven would be excited to the Bultaco stuff!
